Virtualization is simple – it means doing more with less. Less resources used accompanied by more powerful hosting performance and security results not only in benefiting the business but also the environment.
We are committed to make sure we’re doing everything we can to reduce CO2 emissions, minimize our environmental footprint, and help recycle resources.
Virtualization and VPS hosting mean:
Hosting with Atum means, you can proudly say that you have a partnership with a hosting provider that cares. We feel it’s about time that IT has begun to examine its role to corporate responsibility and start implementing strategies that not only decrease consumption and optimize performance, but also achieve overall corporate sustainability goals.

Take advantage of our recycling program.
If you’re considering virtualizing your IT infrastructure but don’t want your physical servers to go to waste, we can help.
We will buy your physical servers either reusing or recycling them meeting and exceeding the environmental requirements. Contact us to find out more about the Atum recycling program!
We are constantly trying to find new ways to reduce our environment footprint and educate the public on hosting green through virtualization. Here’s just a few of our Green IT initiatives and awards:

Atum was one of four 2010 finalist for Canada’s Greenest IT! The award was presented by IT World Canada and Info World and sponsored by IBM, Compugen, Samsung, Virtual Causeway and D-Link. The quest included searching for companies with a sustainability objectives, overall green corporate strategy, vendor initiatives and programs, and personal passion for all things green! We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved so far in the green IT movement and continuously work to increase our corporate social responsibility.

Atum’s own John Posan, Business Development Director, was one of the keynote speakers at the Canadian Pollution Prevention Roundtable 2010 in Toronto’s Sheraton Conference Center. John gave a presentation titled “Virtualization – Hosting the Environmentally Friendly Way” in an effort to spread awareness about environmentally conscious hosting and its many benefits – both ecological and financial. The event was a huge success and included various industries and environmental leaders.

Marts & Lundy has been working with Atum since 2002. We are a smaller firm with 'big' IT needs and Atum helped us build an IT infrastructure to meet the demands of our unique environment. They successfully guided us on the creation of our first IT policy, which led to a common platform of hardware and software. This has been invaluable to the growth of our organization.
